WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE READY TO SHIP?

My husband and I hand-create each of our pieces with love from scratch when you order.  Creation time will vary depending on how many pieces we are working on, as well as what time of year it is, but in general pieces take 3-4 weeks to complete.  If you have a particular date you need the piece by, please let us know.  Need it rushed?  See section 8 of this blog.

HOW IS MY ORDER SHIPPED?

This information is for orders shipped within the Continental US.  See #7 for International Shipping.

  1. If your order is $15.00 US or under, your order will be shipped via US First Class Mail.
  2. If your order is $350.00 US or under, your order will be shipped via US Priority Mail.
  3. If your order is higher than $350.00 US it will be shipped fully insured via UPS 2nd Day Air, signature required.

Shipping upgrades are available at checkout.

If you are concerned that you will not be home to sign for the package, you can have your order shipped to a friend, relative, or to a place of business.  Please include their full name, or the business name in your shipping information at checkout.

For UPS orders, you may also request to have your package held at a local UPS hub so that you can pick it up at your convenience.

WILL MY PACKAGE BE DISCREET?

Yes.  The package comes from “LKD” and has no logos or any indication that it is coming from Laurie Sarah Designs.  Your secret is safe with us!

IS MY ORDER FULLY INSURED?

All orders over $350.00 US are fully insured.  We ship your order with UPS, and the package is insured by a Jewelry Insurance Company.  You’ll notice that your order is shipped in large, double boxes etc – we do that to ensure that no one knows that a tiny, very valuable object is inside.  See question 5 of this blog for more info!

If your order is under $350.00 US and you’d like to have the same protection for it, you can upgrade your shipping at checkout.

WILL MY SIGNATURE BE REQUIRED?

Signature is required for all UPS packages.

If you are concerned that you will not be home to sign for the package, you can have your order shipped to a friend, relative, or to a place of business.  Please include their full name, or the business name in your shipping information at checkout.

WHY IS MY ORDER BOXED THE WAY IT IS?

For UPS orders, the way your order is packaged is actually required by the Jewelry Insurance Company that backs it.  Your order is secured in a medium-sized box, which is then placed inside of another, larger one that is securely taped shut.  This is so that no one would ever suspect that something valuable and small is in it!  It also makes it hard to get into, which would deter anyone who might have bad intentions.

IS INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING AN OPTION?

Due to the recent soaring fuel costs, the cost of international shipping has been fluctuating and has been difficult to predict costs.  When you check out, orders under $350.00 US are shipping by either First Class or Priority Mail Overnight.  You will be charged $36.00.  If your order is $350.00 or over, your order is shipped fully insured via UPS International and you are charged $80.00 for shipping.  If the shipping amount is more or less than what you were charged, we will contact you for your approval before shipping the item.  Please note that all packages shipped outside the Continental US are subject to your country’s Customs and/or Duty Fees which you are responsible for.  If you would like a shipping quote before placing your order, you may email your full name and shipping address to us at Mail@LaurieSarahDesigns.com and we’ll give you a quote.

CAN I RUSH MY ORDER OR UPGRADE SHIPPING?

If you need your order quickly, we will always do our best to meet your deadline.  Please communicate your deadline either in the comment field at checkout, or by emailing us after the order is placed.

Please understand that due to many unpredictable processes such as shipping times etc, we cannot guarantee an exact delivery date.  If you are planning an event that the jewelry is needed by, please have the jewelry in your hands before committing to your date or placing any deposits down on your event.  The Covid pandemic is still causing interruptions in some of our processes.
